Why does a strip of land, no bigger than Wales, always seem to be in the news headlines? 
 

Christians and Jews- blood brothers or separated brethren?

Israel- political accident or a Covenant people?

And where does the Church fit in?

 

These and other related questions have caused much debate among people of faith and those with no faith at all for many decades, especially since the re-emergence of Israel as a nation state in 1948.

 

In an age of sound bites, "instant" anything and quick-fix solutions to almost every problem, the challenges presented by Israel, the Jewish people and their relationship with their Arab (and predominantly Muslim) neighbours will just not go away. Nor, after the events of the last 60 years in particular, are there any easy answers to questions that surround this apparently age-old hostility and the ownership rights to a narrow strip of land at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea.

 

Isrelate.com was created in late 2007 by Christian Friends of Israel (UK) to communicate with a younger generation on these issues. At its foundation is the firmly held belief that the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the founding fathers of the Jewish people that this God is actively involved in the events happening in our world today, and that He still has a very special interest in the Jewish people and all that happens in the Land of Israel in the 21^st century.

 

Isrelate.com aims to inform visitors about current events and developments in Israel, and the impact these have upon not only the Jewish people, but the wider world. To give an opportunity for online discussion of these matters, and more importantly, to encourage intercessory prayer for God's purposes to be carried forward in this part of His world today.

 

Isrelate.com was also established to challenge many of the pre-conceived views and ideas about modern Israel that are so often drawn from and reinforced by the biased reporting from much of the world's media.

 

Last, but by no means least, Isrelate.com wants to encourage Christian Believers to approach the issues of Israel, the Jewish people and their place in God's purposes today from a foundation that is based on the whole revelation of the God of the Hebrew Scriptures both the Old and New Testaments.
